The Resort

In all spacious bungalow suites you can enjoy the total tranquility of our paradise island and have the opportunity to retreat to the secluded, private terrace or to dive into the turquoise blue water of the signature beach or the lagoon in just a few steps.

Our 18 bungalows have 70m2 of living space. They were built with carefully selected, sustainable materials and are equipped with all desirable amenities.

Deluxe suites are right on Signature Beach; Superior suites enjoy the view of the lagoon.

Location

Facilities & Equipment

The private island Virgin Cocoa is approx. 8 hectares in size and has a restaurant, a pool (loungers and umbrellas are available at the pool), a bar, a small souvenir boutique, a spa and plenty of space for rest and relaxation. The island offers a beautiful sandy beach and a gigantic house reef. Bathing in the sea is only possible at high tide. Virgin Cocoa is connected to the neighboring island of Nunukan via a boat shuttle service. WIFI is available in the office and restaurant areas. However, due to the secluded location of the resort, reception is limited.

Sport & Wellness

Free yoga classes: Our yoga experience under the guidance of experienced yoga teachers is available twice a day and almost all year round – with only a few exceptions. Beach volleyball, bocce, trips to Nunukan. Against payment: diving, spa treatments

Food & Culinary

Half board or full board. Excellent cuisine with seasonal vegetarian / vegan dishes, refined fish or meat dishes and a delicious range of homemade desserts and cakes. In the morning a rich à la carte breakfast, in the evening a multi-course menu with Asian, Indonesian and Western specialties. Drinking water (carafe) included with meals.

Payment on site

Only cash payments (euros or Indonesian rupiah) are possible at the resort.

Environment

Perfectly integrated into nature, no tree was felled during construction. Ecological wastewater treatment and composting system, rainwater treatment system.

Superior-Bungalow

Total of 9 bungalows: View of the lagoon, 70m² of living space, A / C and ceiling fan, bathroom with shower, natural high-quality hygiene products, hairdryer, minibar, kettle for tea / coffee, still water at your disposal.

Deluxe-Bungalow

A total of seven bungalows await you, each overlooking the lagoon and with a hammock on the beach. Our deluxe bungalows, all located on the beautiful Signature Beach, offer a generous 70m² of living space, tastefully decorated with high-quality furniture. Each bungalow has air-conditioning and a fan, a spacious anteroom, a terrace with lounging area, a bathroom with shower equipped with natural, high-quality hygiene products and a hairdryer. Other amenities include a minibar, a coffee maker and a kettle for tea or coffee. In addition, still water is available free of charge during your stay.

The Restaurant

We place great value on market-fresh, seasonal ingredients and balanced dishes, because as the saying goes: a healthy mind lives in a healthy body. Our kitchen team conjures up delicious creations of healthy dishes for you every day, some of the ingredients of which are grown on the island or obtained regionally on the market.

Light dishes and amazing dishes are created in our food gallery, which we cook live in front of your eyes! So we can pamper you with special requests. You have the opportunity to create your own personal menu at the various stations. Choose between: seasonal vegetarian / vegan dishes, refined fish or meat dishes and a delicious range of homemade desserts and cakes.

Local Indonesian specialties, lots of grilled or gently fried in a wok, the focus of our kitchen team is on health-conscious dishes. We cook with great dedication. The delicious, meat-free creations are also convincing. You have the choice to enjoy these wonderful dishes at various places on the island. If you want to be very romantic and private on the terrace of your bungalow suite.

The Breeze

Majestically built on stilts and located above the water level – our open-air restaurant with adjoining food gallery welcomes you all day long to dine wonderfully in a relaxed atmosphere: a rich breakfast, light lunches and multi-course dinner menus are available.

Breeze-Lounge

These are our popular lounge places! Enjoy the unique view of the beautiful sunset over the open ocean in a stylish ambience with a selected glass of wine, sparkling wine or a refreshing, tropical cocktail.

Pool-Bar

Meeting point in the middle of the island. Whether after the dive, after a walk or while sunbathing and doing nothing: our bartender is happy to mix the wonderful smoothies or fruit juices, to surprise you with a signature drink or to pamper you with snacks and light dishes.
